Ready for the oven

MLA had some money given to him for Christmas and he decided to spend it on a Nintendo DS, BB got one too. With MLA’s DS he got the software Cooking Guide, something I thought he would reject but he didn’t. Today as part of his education we scheduled cooking lessons and he was determined he would used his cooking guide and found a recipe for apple crumble. He followed it religiously, with minimum help from me, including cutting up the apples, and thoroughly enjoyed using it.

I also bought some education software for the DS, maths and French, which has had an enormous effect on MLA and he will now at every opportunity do the maths training and French lesson without argument, except to tell me that ‘he has to do his math training every day!’

I can thoroughly recommend to any one with a child who loves gadgets and loathes school books to get a DS and education software as it captures their concentration and the best thing is they are learning the subject whilst having fun.
