For those not used to rhyming slang that means knackered!
For the past few days, well a week really, I have been painting and laying flooring in my bathroom. Today I finished all bar touching up and changing of a light fitting. I am please with what I have done, it may not be as professional as some would do but it looks ok provided you don’t study it too hard. Well it looks a darned sight better than when I moved in and I also found out when I took the bath out it was connected to the drain properly and all the bath water flowed out under the floor covering!
Just a bit of touching up, skirting, a light fitting and small shelf to go.
Oh and a tidy up!

Looks good. Fancy tackling ours next?

Do you really want me to answer that one?
You will be even more surprised to know that my mother, 75, and myself are the ones who did all the work in the bathroom. The old bath is collecting water on my small piece of land.
I had to paint the walls using a brush as the walls are so uneven that a roller or paint pad are useless.
I have just discovered the toilet has moved and was leaking. I pushed it back into position, and now have to re-screw it down so great was the DIY by the previous owners. Trouble is is has left a gap on the floor covering. Oh well a sealant will cover that if necessary.
And how come even though dogs and cats don’t enter the room painted until the paint has dried still get paint on their ears and tails?
