More support removed

I had yet another letter in the post this morning, this one from the Speech and Language Therapy Unit. I read the lengthy letter and was disgusted!

Despite my GP feeling that Speech and Language Therapy important, and the LEA supposedly recommending it continues, MLA is not to have it.  They state that as he not in school and doesn’t have a diagnoses they can’t offer the therapy as it can not be used in school.  Further more they state they can not do a group session because he is not in school.  They briefly mention a session we had last year, but fail to mention that this was after school hours.  In fact the tone of the letter suggests it was in school hours and at school, totally untrue.

So this morning I complied an email and copied the letter and sent it through the virtual post office to my MSP, stating

‘Far from receiving support it would appear that all MLA’s support is slowly being removed from him, except the exceptional support of his GP.’
Oh but his case will remain open….yer right for a while then they will close it without notification.
Just how much more support will be removed from him?

  1. Are you okay I just read about the minor earthquake that happened in England and Scotland ?

  2. We are fine. There have been reports of one injury where a chimney fell through a roof on to a lad but other than just those near the epicentre a little shocked. I used to live near the epicentre and that area is reclaimed land and subject to land sinkage..roads suddenly have their edges disappear. That area regular get quakes of 1 or 2 or maybe even 3 and you do feel a slight tremor. But this is the second largest the UK has had apparently.

My dogs did get restless in the early hours, maybe the sensed something?

  3. They might have. I thought Stonehead’s chickens might have been distrubed. The UK sounds more like California than anything else. I checked on my UK friends.
I have heard of animals acting weird around earthquakes or even different storms. Mine never have. Our dog sits on the back porch and watches the lightening. Acourse he does bark back at the thunder, though he enjoys it. Rain or snow he hates with a passion, and won’t even venture out. Learned quickly that a male dog can hike his leg and pee of the back porch without even going down the steps.
