Well I have decided that two can play the delayed letter game and delayed response game, I also want EVERYTHING in writing. So tomorrow morning I have this letter going into the head dated 14th November;
I received your incident report yesterday, dated 7th November 2007, given to MLA on 13th November and I am in need of clarification of a few points on it;
Please explain the statement ‘he sat in line with the smoke’. This is a very ambiguous.
Please explain why it was ok to fiddle with a twig but not with leaves.
Please explain why MLA was chastised for his disability when he was unhappy about being ‘out’ in the game and a workable coping strategy not implemented.
Please explain the statement ‘MLA picked and ate a bramble’. From my information he picked a blackberry from a bramble and it was the blackberry he ate, not the bramble.
Please explain why MLA was able to run away towards another group of children who were apparently unsupervised.
Please clarify which part of Forest Schools James will attend.
Followed with this letter, dated 16th November;
Please inform me, in writing, whether or not MLA is to be excluded from any other school activity, including forest schools, before the exclusion takes place.
I will no longer accpet verbal explanations as oblviously they are being changed to suit the schools own agenda as and when they see fit. I will also NOT meet with his teacher, or head teacher, without a witness for the same reason.
But at the end of the day , and by the end of the month, I am making a decision on whether or not MLA will remain in main stream primary education or be home educated until High School, 6 months. The school meeting on 27th will probably be the deciding factor, and from there I shall make appointments to see my contact in Educational Services to primarily discus this but realistically to inform them of my decision. I have home educated both children before and it was 100% successful, particularly with MLA who was at that stage at the grand age of 7 reduced to shoving his fingers down his throat so he didn’t have to go to school thanks to the unchecked bullying by two nasty boys and the inability of the head to acknowledge that giving these bullies sweeties is not only unhealthy but reaffirming that to kick the crap out of a child is ok!
